Let's Get Rational
by Jerry Wilde, Ph.D.
Here's a simple yet effective way to help clients recognize and change irrational thinking that leads to emotional distress. Loosely based on the principles of Rational-Emotive Therapy, this game is particularly useful with resistant adolescents, at-risk students, children of alcoholics, children of divorce, and adults who are dealing with issues such as anger control, social skills, and recovery. It is an ideal way to teach clients how their thoughts influence their emotions. Can be played by four to nine people.
"A simple and enjoyable game that helps teach people some of the main elements of Rational-Emotive Therapy...."
