Based on the popular card game, Go Fish. This game helps youngsters improve social and emotional skills in relation to character. There are two decks of 50 cards - one for each grade level. The game differs from classic go fish in that players must answer a question before they can accept a requested card. Instead of numbers on the cards they all have fun fish names and pictures. Rules sheet and facilitator guidelines included.
The questions are designed to encourage players to give examples from their own experience about behavior that demonstrates good character and to help players understand the meaning of common character traits. Players will understand the concept of character, several important character traits, and how good character traits help them handle life issues and challenges effectively. Players will also learn that character is demonstrated by behavior. Teach players why parents, school officials, and other adults can be expected to hold students responsible for dishonesty and other examples of bad character.
