Each player chooses a little plastic dinosaur and moves it along the game path through the Cave of Acceptance, the Valley of Values, and the Land of Courage. Along the way, children answer questions about their thoughts, attitudes, friendships, hopes, goals, and more. These questions reflect the game’s underlying assumption that high self-esteem is not simply high self-regard. Instead, a healthy self-concept is viewed as knowledge of one’s strengths and ability to use those strengths to solve problems and cope with stress. While this game is undoubtedly fun, it’s also a great way to build confidence, resilience, and self-reliance. For 2 to 6 players.
